European Solar Orbiter Commission

This is an illustration created for American Scientist for their March-April 2020 issue. This is the fourth commission I’ve received from AS. It’s always a pleasure to work with them. They’re very flexible about working with the concepts that I come up with and the facts that I choose to highlight for the graphic. This is the first commission I’ve completed using a completely digital workflow; no physical media used at all, just a combination of the iPad and Photoshop.
